Pumpkin bread with fresh pumpkins is a quick and healthy alternative to snacking on junk foods, especially when made with fresh pumpkins. When cooked properly, they are tender, moist, and tasty. In particular, this pumpkin bread recipe is favorite choice of mine. You get the health benefits of pumpkins in a tasty little package. It even gives you the freedom to choose which nuts you want in your pumpkin bread. I especially like that the fact that it teaches you how to create your very own pumpkin puree!   • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 and 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup nuts of choice
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree


How To Make Pumpkin Puree?

  1. If you want to bake pumpkin bread, you’re going to need to make some pumpkin puree. To do this, halve a pumpkin and take out the pumpkin seeds. Put the pumpkin halves face down on some fail and microwave them until they’re soft. After cooling, scoop out the flesh. Tada! Pumpkin puree!

Pumpkin Bread With Fresh Pumpkins

  1. Now that you have your pumpkin puree and all the other ingredients I mentioned, we can get started. Pre-heat the oven to around 350F. While the oven is preheating, we can begin preparing our pumpkin bread mixture.
  2. Take a loaf pan and butter it up.
  3. Now you want to mix the salt, flour, baking soda, and sugar together.
  4. In a separate container, mix your eggs, olive oil, spices, water, and of course, pumpkin puree together.
  5. Now pour this second mixture into the first one, gently mixing everything together. As you’re mixing the two mixtures together, feel free to add in nuts as desired. Personally, I prefer walnuts, but you can use whatever kind you like.
  6. Pour the resulting mix into the loaf pan, and place it in the oven.
  7. It should be ready after about an hour of baking.
  8. Let the baked loaf cool, and you have some homemade pumpkin bread ready to serve!
  9. You can also refrigerate whatever you don’t finish and heat it up later!

  • How much flour. Recipe shows 1 and 1 cup flour!!! Do you mean 1 and 1/2 cup?
